Our client, The Beverage Baron is a Newfoundland based company representing some of the world’s finest wine, spirits, and beers. The company’s goal is to continue working with their partners to bring their customers new and innovative products while working tirelessly for their existing brands. Our client is known for their outstanding knowledge in the beverage alcohol industry, and forward thinking around sales and marketing that is delivered with outstanding professionalism.

On behalf of our client, we are currently searching for a highly motivated and energetic Sales Representative to join their talented team! Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for sales, growth and market penetration of products on a part-time basis within the eastern Newfoundland region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide representation on behalf of the company as a manufacturer’s agent and product consultant
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Establish and maintain a plan to identify and make contact with potential retail locations; follow-up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and relay outstanding product knowledge
  • Establish and maintain strong, current and potential client relationships
  • Create brand awareness and community engagement
  • Capture order information accurately and assist customers with inventory management strategies (i.e. product placement and promotions)
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to share major trends, review and plan sales activities and set sales goals
  • Participate in tradeshows, tasting events, supplier suppers, sales meetings, and training to remain educated in company and industry development and trends which make take place on weekends or evenings
  • Identify and resolve any client concerns that may arise by following direction and meeting deadlines as per our suppliers needs and reporting back
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing preferred
  • Previous experience in sales (alcohol or tobacco industry considered a strong asset)
  • Knowledge of wine, craft beers, and spirits is considered a strong asset
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an energetic and outgoing personality
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented with the ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Must have a valid driver`s license and be comfortable with daily travel
  • Must be of legal age (19 or over)
