Jump Recruitment has partnered with The Schibler Group in search of a full-time permanent Bookkeeper. You will be upbeat and personable, creating relationships with stakeholders and employees within and outside our organization. In this position you are primarily responsible for Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, Reconciling Accounts and Administrative support as required.

Founded in 1998 by Eric and Kirsten Schibler, the Schibler Group consists of three companies that operate Tim Hortons franchises in St. John’s, Conception Bay South, and Holyrood.

The Job

  • Completion of monthly, accrual-based, accounting cycle for multiple companies including bank reconciliations
  • Completion of all inter-company transactions
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Reconciliation of bi-weekly payroll including monthly HAPSET remittances and yearly Workplace NL assessments
  • Preparation of monthly accounts payable, accounts receivable, HST, and corporate tax remittances
  • Utilization of Sage, Microsoft Excel, Clearview on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Accounting Diploma and/or relevant 3 – 5 years work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Sage, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Clearview software an asset
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Critical Thinker with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work within tight deadlines, and work independently and within a supportive team environment
