On behalf of our client – Redwood Construction, Jump Recruitment is seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Accounting and Office Administration. This is a permanent full-time position, stationed at one of their subsidiaries – The Wrench Pit.

Redwood Construction Limited is a privately-owned full-service General Contracting and Construction Management company. For over 44 years, Redwood has focused on the commercial, industrial, and custom residential sectors with extensive experience in all aspects.

At The Wrench Pit, we perform repair requests on large earth moving equipment, commercial vehicles and trailers, personal vehicles, and recreational trailers. The Wrench Pit does it all!

The Role:

The successful candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented person who enjoys working in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment. They require little direction and are a natural at problem solving.

Responsibilities

    • Coordinate office operations to ensure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
    • Greet customers, answer phone calls, route information requests, calls, and/or take messages.
    • Prepare, send, and file daily purchase orders and invoices promptly.
    • General accounting duties (invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank deposits, collections, POS reconciliations).
    • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets.
    • Order office supplies and manage a records database.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

    • Certificate/Diploma – Business Administration / Concentration in Accounting.
    • 2+ years’ experience working in automotive service/repair industry considered an asset.
    • Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
    • Exceptional data entry skills with an ability to distinguish numerical errors.
    • Strong interpersonal, and (verbal and written) communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
    • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
